HBO Latin America celebrates its International Emmy® nominations for MAGNÍFICA 70 and ÓPERA ABERTA – OS PESCADORES DE PÉROLAS

MIAMI, FL, Sept.19, 2019MAGNÍFICA 70 and ÓPERA ABERTA – OS PESCADORES DE PÉROLAS, two Brazilian HBO productions, were recognized with nominations for the 2019 International Emmy® Awards. The third season of MAGNÍFICA 70, an HBO Latin America original series, was nominated in the ‘Non-English Language U.S. Primetime Program’ category, and the documentary, ÓPERA ABERTA – OS PESCADORES DE PÉROLAS, a co-production with with O2 Filmes, will compete for ‘Best Arts Programming.’
The 2019 International Emmy® Awards nominations were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, recognizing the work of producers from 21 countries across 11 categories. The winners will be revealed on November 25th during the annual gala ceremony held in New York City.
MAGNÍFICA 70 is directed by Cláudio Torres, who also wrote the script alongside Renato Fagundes, in collaboration with Melanie Dimantas and Aline Portugal. The series is produced by Luis F. Peraza, Roberto Rios and Eduardo Zaca, on behalf of HBO Latin America Originals; and Claudio Torres and Gustavo Baldoni of Conspiração Filmes. All three seasons of MAGNÍFICA 70 are currently available on HBO GO.
