Anonymous Call Leads to Nearly 80 Lbs. of Marijuana




TUCSON, Ariz. – The Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station received an anonymous call Wednesday regarding suspicious activity near Naco, Arizona, which led to the arrest of one illegal alien and a seizure of almost 80 pounds of marijuana.



Agents at the Brian A. Terry Station, received an anonymous report of an individual seen picking up a bundle of suspected narcotics and running into an abandoned trailer. When agents arrived at the location to investigate, they found one Mexican national illegally present in the United States and two bundles of marijuana.



The Mexican national was arrested and the marijuana seized.  The case is being processed in accordance with Tucson Sector guidelines.



Often times, Border Patrol agents rely on the community for help. The anonymous caller in this case helped prevent almost 80 pounds of marijuana from reaching the community.
