Senior management appointment will lead hospitality company’s European operation and
expansion drive
Dubai, UAE, 28 June 2018 - Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has promoted
Sabine Dorn-Aglagul to President Europe, effective immediately.
Having
joined Mövenpick in April 2017 as Director of Operations, Switzerland,
Sabine takes the helm from Ola Ivarsson, who will retire from his
role as Chief Operating Officer for Europe on 30th June.
Mövenpick
Hotels & Resorts currently manages 18 properties in Europe, with
three new hotels set to open during 2019 in Stuttgart (Germany), The
Hague (Netherlands) and Basel (Switzerland). The company is actively
seeking further development opportunities in the region, with a focus on
the hotel and serviced apartment sector.
“We
congratulate Sabine on her new role as President of our European
operations,” commented Olivier Chavy, President & CEO, Mövenpick
Hotels &
Resorts. “Europe has significant growth potential for our commercial
business and we are confident in Sabine’s ability to help deliver strong
results in this important market.
“I
would also like to bid fond farewell to Ola, who has played a vital
role in developing our European business to date and is admired and
respected
by the entire Mövenpick family.”
Sabine
has extensive experience working in hotel management for organisations
such as Hilton Worldwide and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, employed
in a variety of multi-property and single-property roles in markets
including Turkey, Germany and Austria. Prior to joining Mövenpick Hotels
& Resorts, Sabine lived and worked in Istanbul, as Area Manager
Turkey for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

company’s we make moments business philosophy. Her ambitions
in her new role are to make Mövenpick “the brand and place of choice”
for guests and talent in Europe, she says.
As
President Europe, Sabine will join Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’
Executive Committee, taking over all reporting lines currently held by
Ola Ivarsson,
who will continue his long association with the firm in an ongoing
