The World Tourism Organization of the United Nations (UNWTO) is the voice of tourism at COP26. The Glasgow Declaration comes as tourism’s relevance and importance is greater than ever, with the United Nations system, the G20 and governments recognizing the sector as an indispensable ally of inclusive growth and sustainable development.

More than 350 signatories have already committed to taking strong actions to support the global commitment to halve emissions by 2030 and reach Net Zero as soon as possible before 2050.

The Glasgow Declaration launch event will feature a panel discussion by UNWTO experts, alongside Tourism Ministers, private sector leaders and representatives of the European Commission and UNFCCC.

A full overview of the programme and participants can be found on the UNWTO website.
