Rangos
iniciales 22.15/22.30.

Good morning,
Asian stock markets closed
positive this Monday, +5.67%, as investors expect that data will
support optimism on the global economy recovery. European stocks
bounce +2.12% by mid-day as well. Dow futures jump 400 points to
start the week, after Friday ́s holiday. However, Monday ́s upbeat
mood in markets contrasts with a continuing spike in the number of
coronavirus cases in the US. In Germany, factory orders rose 10.4%,
but less than expected in May, after lockdown measures were eased.
Data suggest that German ́s economy has passed the worst, but the
slow recovery shows how difficult it will be to repair damage caused
by the coronavirus pandemic. Retail sales in the Eurozone rebounded
better than expected on May, 17.8% higher than in April, a record
jump. Euro was boosted by European data, surpassing the 1.13 mark,
and it’s now trading around 1.1335. Oil price remains above $40 USD
per barrel.
Talks between the EU and the
UK will resume today in London, after Brussels round leaves serious
divergences. Angela Merkel said on Wednesday that both, her country
and the 27-nation bloc, should prepare for the case where an
agreement is not reached. British Pound is 1.2510. The Peso keeps
getting strong against all odds, as risk appetite is on the increase
among global investors, the Peso is around 22.2380, and could test
support on 22.10, and if it breaks it, it could look to test 22.00.
This Day in History!
A day like today in 1957,
Althea Gibson claims the women’s singles tennis title at Wimbledon
and becomes the first African American to win a championship at
London’s All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Gibson was born on August 25,
1927, in Silver, South Carolina, and raised in the Harlem section of
New York City. She began playing tennis as a teenager and went on to
win the national Black women’s championship twice. At a time when
tennis was largely segregated, four-time U.S. Nationals winner Alice
Marble advocated on Gibson’s behalf and the 5’11” player was
invited to make her U.S. Open debut in 1950. In 1956, Gibson’s
tennis career took off and she won the singles title at the French
Open —the first African American to do so—as well as the doubles’
title there. In July 1957, Gibson won Wimbledon.
In September 1957, she won the
U.S. Open, and the Associated Press named her Female Athlete of the
Year in 1957 and 1958. During the 1950s, Gibson won 56 singles and
doubles titles, including 11 major titles. After winning Wimbledon
and the U.S. Open again in 1958, Gibson retired from amateur tennis.
